Alexander Bogomazov
Painter
Avant-garde painter associated with Cubo-Futurism and Spectralism and known for works such as "Tram" from 1914 and "Fire in Kiev" from 1916.
He attended the Kiev Art school where he met Alexander Archipenko.
He published his important essay, "The Art of Painting and the Elements," in 1914.
He was born in the Ukraine and studied at the Kherson Institute for Agriculture and at the Kiev Art School.
He was a friend and contemporary of painter Aleksandra Ekster.
