Author and activist whose concentration in community youth development led him to found The Freechild Project, a nonprofit that promotes connections between adults and teenagers.
He graduated from The Evergreen State College with a degree in youth studies and critical pedagogy.
He worked as a director and advisor for the National Youth Rights Association, the largest organization in the U.S. that is committed to youth rights.
He was born in Calgary, the largest city in Alberta.
The National Youth Rights Association began its legal action in the student rights case Safford v. Redding, which was brought before Justice John Roberts.
