South African musician who became one the biggest Kwaito music superstars in the world with songs like "Mdlwembe" and "Ghetto Scandalous." He is the recipient of numerous South African Music Awards, including Artist of the Year, Best Music Video and Best Kwaito Album.
He grew up in the notoriously crime-ridden sub-township of Zola in the Soweto township of Johannesburg, South Africa. Prior to his music career, he served time in prison for car theft.
He appears in the Academy Award-winning 2006 film Tsotsi and performs several songs on its soundtrack.
His birth name is Bonginkosi Dlamini. He grew up in a single-parent home with his mother, brother and sister.
He appeared with Taye Diggs in the 2004 film Drum.
