First widely known for her portrayal of Lavinia Swire in the popular ITV series Downton Abbey. She has also played roles in Sons of Anarchy, The Astronaut Wives Club, and Witless.
Some of her earliest screen roles were guest spots in Agatha Christie's Poirot and Great Performances in 2008.
In 2012, she made her silver screen debut playing Emma Greenwood in the comedy film Freeloaders.
Her mother was a ballerina and her father was a barrister.
Her character on Downton Abbey, Lavinia, was the short-lived fiancee of Dan Stevens' character Matthew Crawley.
