He was home-schooled until the age of 13. He planned to become a dentist.
In August 2020, he released a collaborative EP "I Won't Give You Up" with hip hop duo, Horrorshow.
In 2010, his parents gave him a guitar as a graduation gift. He decided to pursue music.
He and Luke Hemmings are both their Australian singers.
