Zig Ziglar

An author and motivational speaker, he is most their for his book, A View From the Top: Moving from Success to Significance. His other, often Christian-themed works include Better Than Good: Creating a Life You Can't Wait to Live (2006) and Raising Positive Kids in a Negative World (1985).
During World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy. He subsequently attended the University of South Carolina and became the Vice President of an automotive company.
He died of pneumonia in Plano, Texas at the age of eighty-six.
He married Jean Ziglar in 1946. Together, the couple had three daughters (Susan, Cindy, and Julie) and one son (Tom).
An ardent conservative, Ziglar supported Mike Huckabee's 2008 campaign for the Republican presidential nomination.
