He played high school football for Corner Canyon High School in Utah.
He was named the MVP of the 2018 Famous Idaho Potato Bowl following BYU's win. He was then named the team's MVP following the 2019 Hawaii Bowl.
His parents' names are Lisa and Michael. He has two sisters and three brothers.
