Football Coach
Former quarterback who earned his first opportunity to be a head coach after being hired by the Cincinnati Bengals for the 2019-2020 season. He was with the Bengals in 2016 as offensive coordinator & quarterbacks coach, but then assumed the positions of assistant wide receivers coach and quarterbacks coach for the Los Angeles Rams in the years to follow.
He was a quarterback for the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Cornhuskers.
He was an undrafted free agent signing of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2007. He was cut in the preseason. He then played fourth string quarterback for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the CFL.
He has children named Brooks, Luke, Emma Claire, and Milly with wife Sarah Sherman. His father-in-law is former Green Bay Packers head coach Mike Sherman. His sister Kathryn is a Special Olympics swimmer and he has a youngest sister named Quincy as well.
His father, Sherwood, played defense under head coach Barry Switzer.
