World Music Singer
South African singer, songwriter, entrepreneur, humanitarian, and teacher who's known as the Princess of Africa. She released several hit singles such as "Umqombothi,""I'm Burning Up," and "I Cry For Freedom."
She was the first black child to appear on South African TV in 1981. She was discovered by Phil Hollis of Dephon Records in Johannesburg in 1984.
She taught literacy part-time at the University of South Africa.
She married her husband Mandlalele Mhinga in 1989. The couple has four children, Ningi, Mandla, Mfuma, and Themba.
She has performed for US president Bill Clinton and Queen Elizabeth II.
