He became a Grandmaster at the age of 20.
He won the Cappelle-la-Grande Open in France, a tournament entered by hundreds of the world's greatest players.
His brother Andrey is also a chess Grandmaster.
He became one of the best 20-something players in chess alongside the great Magnus Carlsen.
