She grew up in Nagasaki Prefecture and graduated from Aoyama Gakuin University.
She is the niece of popular singer, Chiyo Okumura.
She was married to actor Toshiya Nagasawa from 2004 to 2008 and they had one child together.
She appeared with singer Yukie Nakama in the 2006 film, Oh! Oku.
