He lived in Russia, France, and China before immigrating to the U.S. He debuted as Paul Vicola in the 1949 film, Port of New York.

Family Life

He married four times: to Virginia Gilmore, Frankie Tilden, Jacqueline Thion de la Chaume, and Kathy Lee. He had a daughter named Victoria with his second wife. Victoria's godmother was Audrey Hepburn. Brynner also adopted two Vietnamese children with his third wife.
