Pakistani politician who served as the 16th Prime minister of Pakistan from 2008 until he was kicked out of office by the Supreme Court of Pakistan in 2012. His tenure in power is known as the "Era of Stagflation" in Pakistan.
He attended Government College University and attained his B.A. in Journalism in 1970.
He was Pakistan's second longest serving Prime Minister, spending 1,494 days in power, but his tenure was marked by high rise in inflation and sharp decline in economic performance.
He had five children with Fauzia Gillani.
He served in the Ministry of Tourism for the government of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto.
