Chinese-Kiwi actor who made the leap to American film after being cast in Disney's live-action adaptation of Mulan. He had minor roles in 2016's Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny and 2018's The Meg. He booked a series regular role in a 2018 show called Dead Lucky.
He began appearing on screen in 2012. His first big break was in the film Ghost Bride.
As a martial artist, he earned a black belt in karate and is skilled in kickboxing, ninjutsu, and powerlifting.
He was born in Macau and moved to Auckland when he was seven years old. He has three younger sisters.
He acted alongside Rachel Griffiths in the show Dead Lucky.
