Award-winning comedian and film actor known primarily for his roles in the Tamil-language based films such as Aandavan Kattalai, where he starred as Muthupandi Selvam, as well as the film Kolamavu Kokila, where he starred as Shekhar. He has won the Vikatan Award for Best Male Comedian multiple times.
He began his professional acting career in 2009.
In 2016, he was featured in over 20 films. Three years later, he earned his first lead acting role in the 2019 film Dharmaprabhu, where he played a role as the Buddhist deity Yamantaka.
He and his wife, Manju Bhargavi, got married on February 5, 2020.
He acted alongside Shah Rukh Khan in the 2013 Hindi film Chennai Express.
