Indonesian Islamic activist and politician who is best recognized for being the daughter of Abdurrahman Wahid, fourth President of Indonesia. She is also known for her work as the director of The Wahid Institute, an Islamic research center.
She earned her Bachelor's Degree in design and visual communication from Trisakti University in Jakarta. She then started her career as a journalist, working for Fairfax Media. When her father was elected president, she left her job in journalism to assist him in communication work.
She is also known for her work as Secretary General for the National Awakening Party.
She was born and raised in Indonesia and is the second daughter of president Abdurrahman Wahid.
She shared a photo with fellow politician Joko Widodo to her Instagram in August of 2018.
