Willie González
World Music Singer
Puerto Rican singer who is known for his romantic salsa style of singing. He has performed throughout America, Mexico, and Venezuela and is known for his popular songs "Hazme Olvidarla", "No Podrás Escapar de Mi", and "Enamorado de Ti Estoy".
He first started playing the trombone at the age of fifteen. In 1982, he started performing as a background vocalist to other salsa singers. He gained further attention when he joined the musical group Conjunto Chaney. Then in 1988, he started his solo career as a singer.
He is known for having won his first Platinum Album in 1989 after he released El Original y Único.
He was born and raised in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. He has two children named Rafael Angel Gonzalez and Marco Antonio Gonzalez.
He joined singer Eddie Santiago in 1982 and together they formed the popular group Orquesta Saragüey.
