He began his youth career in 1995 with Gallos de Aguascalientes.
He was sent on loan to Tampico Madero in 2010-11 and Titanes de Tulancingo in 2011.
He was born in Aguascalientes, Mexico.
He and fellow Mexican goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa both became starters in the Liga MX.
