William Lord Wright
Screenwriter
A screenwriter and producer, he is most remembered for his scripts for Ace of Spades (1925), Fighting with Buffalo Bill (1926), and The Vanishing Rider (1928). His producing credits include The Border Wildcat (1929), The White Horseman (1921), and The Indians are Coming (1930).
He worked as a newspaper reporter in Ohio before pursuing a Hollywood career. One of his earliest screenwriting credits was the 1910 piece, 'Twixt Loyalty and Love.
He was once the head of the scenarios department at Universal Studios.
He was born in Bellefontaine, Ohio. He later moved to Southern California and married Sarah Wright.
Like actor Brian Palermo, he was affiliated with Universal Studios for a lengthy period.
