William Tenn
Novelist
An American science fiction author, he is known for Of Men and Monsters, A Lamp for Medusa, and other novels. Many of his works contain elements of satire.
He served in the United States Army during World War II. Later, he taught for over two decades at Penn State University.
His real name was Philip Klass; he published under the pseudonym of William Tenn.
He was born in London, England, and he grew up in New York City. He married Fruma Klass in 1957.
He and Karen Joy Fowler were both known for their science fiction stories.
