William F. Allen
Politician
Member of the Democratic Party who served in the Delaware General Assembly, and in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1937 to 1939.
He worked as an agent, telegrapher, and train dispatcher for the Pennsylvania Railroad in 1902, before working in the real estate business in 1922.
He was elected to State Senate in 1924, and served from 1925-1929.
He married Addie M. Davis in 1905, and together they had three children: Robert, Franklin and Doris.
He was a big supporter of President Franklin D. Roosevelt and the New Deal.
