Dutch singer and actress known for her roles in productions like Wicked, Elisabeth, and The Three Musketeers. She was voted the Wicked Personality of the Year in 2010 and is the first person to have played the lead role of Elphaba in more than one language.
She studied at at the Guildford School of Acting and sang in pop bands before making her professional theatre debut in 2000.
She had surgery to correct an ongoing back problem in 2014, forcing her to temporarily depart from Wicked.
She married musician Bart van Hoof.
She and Tony Award winner Idina Menzel have both played the role of Elphaba in Wicked.
