Multi-talented MLB outfielder who was named AL Rookie of the Year in 2013 with the Tampa Bay Rays after hitting .293 with 13 home runs and 53 RBIs in just 88 games. Prior to the 2015 season, he was traded to the San Diego Padres.
He starred as both a pitcher and hitter at Wesleyan Christian Academy in High Point, North Carolina; he led the school to a state championship in 2008.
He was selected 91st overall by the Kansas City Royals in 2009.
He began dating Maggie Reaves in 2015.
He became teammates with third baseman Evan Longoria on the Rays in 2013.
