She received several accolades as a member of the North Carolina Tar Heels including being named to the ACC All-Academic Team.
She debuted with the U.S. women's soccer team in 2011 and was a member of the 2015 World Cup Championship team.
She was born in Torrance, California.
She played alongside Hope Solo for the women's national team.
