Dual position second baseman and left fielder for the Kansas City Royals who made his debut in the major leagues with the ball club in May of 2016.
He played three seasons of collegiate baseball with the University of South Carolina. He was drafted by the Royals in the 2010 draft.
Before making his major league debut, he spent years between the Burlington Bees, Wilmington Blue Rocks, Northwest Arkansas Naturals and Omaha Storm Chasers.
His father Bill was a baseball player for Wake Forest University. He has a younger sister named Costner and a younger brother named Hite.
He supplanted Omar Infante as the Royals starting second baseman.
