Wg Grace
Cricket Player
One of cricket's pioneers in the late 19th century, considered by many to be the greatest cricketer of all time.
He received very little education growing up, briefly attending a day school called Rudgway House.
His career statistics aren't too detailed because he played during the beginning years of the sport, but he was credited with playing for 29 teams between 1865 and 1908.
He was born in Downend, near Bristol, to Henry and Martha Grace.
He and Sachin Tendulkar are considered to be two of the greatest cricketers the sport has ever seen; the two players' careers took place over a century apart.
