6-time NBA All-Star known as "The Greyhound" for his quick style and chiseled physique. He spent the bulk of his career with the Phoenix Suns, but also played for the Denver Nuggets and Portland Trail Blazers.
He was a Gold Medal winner for the 1976 US Olympic basketball team while attending the University of North Carolina.
He was the NBA Rookie of the Year in 1978.
His uncle Hubert Davis played in the NBA and became an ESPN college broadcaster.
He was a player that future Hall of Fame guard Michael Jordan looked up to.
