Best known as creator, lead writer and producer of the AMC drama series Breaking Bad starring Bryan Cranston and the show's spin-off Better Call Saul. He initially broke into TV as a writer and producer on The X-Files.

In 2008, he cast a relatively unknown actor named Aaron Paul as Jesse Pinkman on Breaking Bad, and Paul went on to receive rave reviews for his performance in the series.
