New York woman most their for being the ex-wife of professional boxer Jake LaMotta, who was portrayed by Robert De Niro in the classic 1980 film Raging Bull. The two had a theirly turbulent, abusive relationship which resulted in divorce in 1957.
She was born in The Bronx and married LaMotta in 1947 at just sixteen years old.
She posed for Playboy Magazine at age fifty-one in 1981.
She had three children with Jake LaMotta. After their divorce, she got remarried to Tony Foster, with whom she had a son named Harrison.
She was portrayed in Raging Bull by Cathy Moriarty, who earned an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her performance.
