He first began playing his youth career as a part of the Levante Club. In 2007, he started his senior career with Levante. In 2013, he began playing for Sevilla and in 2017 he started playing for Leicester City.
He has received several awards and honors for his playing including the UEFA Europa League in the 2013 and 2014 season as well as the 2015 and 2016 season.
He was born and raised in Moncada, Spain.
