He grew up with four older siblings in Tondo, Manila. His father, a barangay captain, was murdered when he was young. He is openly gay. He has been in a relationship with model Ion Perez.
He co-starred in the 2012 comedy This Guy's In Love With U Mare! with Luis Manzano.
