Best known for his association with the Wu-Tang Clan, this New York rapper also released several solo albums, including Mr. Xcitement and Dopium.
He began his career by providing beatbox vocals for the rapper Cappadonna, who became his musical mentor.
He released his debut solo album, Golden Arms Redemption, in 1999. The recording rose to a #15 spot on the United States R&B Chart.
Born Lamont Jody Hawkins, he was raised in Brooklyn and Staten Island, New York.
He and fellow Wu-Tang Clan member Ghostface Killah collaborated on a 2009 track titled "Train Trussle."
