Singer and keyboard player best known as the frontman of alternative band Neon Trees. His first solo album, Excommunication, was released in 2016.
He spent a year on a Mormon mission after graduating from high school. He helped found Neon Trees after moving to Provo, Utah.
He wrote the hit singles "Animal" and "Everybody Talks."
He was engaged to his teenage girlfriend of two years, but the couple never married. He came out as gay in 2014.
