He played the saxophone and clarinet as a child but didn't take music seriously then.
His music career started after a teacher at his school saw a video of him singing, and broadcasted the video throughout the entire school.
He grew up in a lively household with his divorced, single mother and five sisters. He moved to Michigan from Utah in 2011.
Randy Jackson was still a judge on American Idol when Treyvon auditioned.
