He was a two-sport star at Bishop Miege High School, where he was a top recruit not just as a point guard, but also as a safety in football.
He is loved by Alabama fans for making a buzzer-beating half court shot to beat Georgia on March 9, 2013.
His brother, Travis Releford, played college basketball at the University of Kansas.
He committed to Alabama in large part because he wanted to play for coach Anthony Grant.
