Multiple award-winning American singer who has released numerous albums with unconventional lyrics, such as Rivers+Roads and Under This Yellow Sun.
She started training in classical piano and and cello at age seventeen and later went to Florida State University where she studied in theater and film.
She has been involved in many charitable organizations, including the Hope Clinic for Women and MusicCares.
She grew up with her family in Illinois and Florida.
She has worked with producer Roger Moutenot, who has also worked with Elvis Costello.
