Tony Harrison
Playwright
British poet and dramatist whose best-known works include a 1985 poem "V" and a 1990 play "The Trackers of Oxyrhynchus."
He studied at Leeds University.
He adapted several Medieval mystery plays into the dramatic work The Mysteries, which premiered at London's Royal National Theatre in the mid-1980s.
He was born to a family in South Leeds.
His dramatic work was highly regarded by director Richard Eyre.
