As a child, he used numerous household items as musical instruments.
He was the first merengue solo artist to sell out Madison Square Garden in New York.
He formed Los Hermanos Rosario with his brothers Pepe, Rafa, Tony, Francis, and Luis.
He and Elvis Crespo both had careers as merengue singers.
