He began his career in 1997, as a member of the group Orquesta Internacional Bahia up until 1998. He debuted as a solo artist in 2009 with the record "Me Enamore de un Imposible."
He has performed in groups like El Grupo Tornado, Group 5 and Los Caribeños de Guadalupe.
His daughter, María Fernanda, was born in 2002. He did not know about her until he met her in 2017. He began dating fellow singer Estrella Torres in February 2014.
In 2018 he released the song "Súbela Más" with Mia Mont.
