Republican politician who has represented Florida's 16th and 17th districts in the US House of Representatives.
He received his law degree from the University of Miami School of Law before spending over four years on Active Duty in the United States Army JAG Corps.
He wrote a bill to defund U.S. operations in Libya in 2011 but it was defeated by members of his own party.
He is a grandson of Pittsburgh Steelers founder Art Rooney, Sr., and he has three sons with his wife Tara. Their names are Tommy Jr., Sean, and Seamus.
He was one of five members of Congress to accuse Huma Abedin of having ties to the Muslim Brotherhood in letters that were written to the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Justice among other departments.
