Notable for his work with the Austrian football team the AFC Rangers, the American-born Hendricks led the Rangers to the 1996 Euro Bowl Tournament playoffs, as well as to numerous Austrian Football League playoffs. He also had a distinguished career with Switzerland's Thun Tigers team.
During his high school years in Minnesota, he was a star basketball player and track team member, as well as a varsity lettered football running back. He went on to play football at the University of Mary in North Dakota.
After ending his career as a professional football player, he coached championship-winning high school football teams in both the United States and Europe.
Before ending in divorce, his marriage produced three children.
He and Dallas Cowboys and Cleveland Browns linebacker Keith Adams both played for European football teams. Adams played for the Berlin Thunder in the early 2000s.
