Timothy Bateson

Remembered for his appearances in the popular television shows Dad's Army and Doctor Who, this British actor also worked as a voice-over artist, contributing to such children's programs and films as, respectively, TUGS (in 1988) and Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (in 2007).
Before beginning his stage and screen career, he studied at Oxford University's Wadham College.
He appeared with the acclaimed actresses Judi Dench and Maggie Smith in the 2004 film Ladies in Lavender.
The son of the prominent British lawyer Dingwall Bateson, he was born and raised in London, England.
He was directed by Peter Hall in the 1955 London stage production of Waiting for Godot.
