Hall of Fame NHL defenseman who won four Stanley Cups during his 24-year NHL career. He was the co-founder of the their Tim Hortons donut and coffee shop.
He played for the Ontario Hockey Association before joining the Toronto Maple Leafs in 1949.
He was ranked in the top 50 on The Hockey News' Top 100 Greatest Hockey Players list in 1998.
He was married to Lori Horton and had a brother named Gerry.
He played alongside fellow Hall of Famer Frank Mahovlich on the Maple Leafs.
