Known for his role as Tomin in the 2008 film Stargate: The Ark of Truth and for his portrayal of Olaf Torvik in the 2005 independent movie Sweet Land, this screen actor also appeared in episodes of Homeland, Revolution, and Stargate SG-1.
After studying at a performing arts high school in Houston, Texas, he trained at both the American Academy of Dramatic Arts (in New York City) and the North Carolina School of the Arts.
He played the role of Sam Phillips in CBS's Elvis miniseries.
He and his four siblings grew up in California, Texas, and Illinois. He met his wife, Daisy, in the mid 1990s.
His father-in-law, Horton Foote, was an acclaimed twentieth-century playwright.
