Thomas Hood

A 19th-century English author and poet, he is best known for "Whims and Oddities" and other humorous works. His most their poems include "No!" and "I Remember, I Remember."
He was the son of a London bookseller. In the early 1820s, he began editing the London Magazine.

He was married to Jane Reynolds Hood. The couple had a son named Tom who became an editor and dramatist.
