Sculptor
English sculptor who made engravings and marble bas relief pieces. He sculpted Achilles Mourning the Loss of Briseis.
He worked at sculpture and spent his evenings in the studio of the Flemish sculptor Peter Scheemakers.
His best-known work is probably the colossal group of Shakespeare attended by Painting and Poetry.
His father was a surveyor who was land steward to the Duke of Beaufort.
He created a sculpture of playwright William Shakespeare.
