Thaísa Menezes
Volleyball Player
Middle-blocker and two-time Olympic gold medalist who has played for the Brazil women's national volleyball team. She won back-to-back gold medals at the Olympics in 2008 and 2012. She has won numerous Best Spiker and Best Blocker Awards.
She started playing club volleyball with Minas Tenis Club in 2002. She joined the national team in 2005.
She was awarded the Best Blocker Award for the 2011 Pan American Cup, as well as gold for her national team.
She is of Lebanese and Brazilian descent. She was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
She and teammate Dani Lins have both won gold medals for the Brazil national team in the Olympics.
