Tetsuya Nomura
Game Designer
Japanese artist and video game designer known for his work with Square Enix. He designed characters for the popular Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts video game series.
He began drawing at the age of three and, in his teens, learned how to program video games. At the age of eighteen, he moved to Tokyo to pursue a career in art and advertising.
He produced and designed a PlayStation Portable role-playing game called The 3rd Birthday.
He grew up in Japan's Kochi Prefecture. His father recognized and encouraged his early interests in art and games.
He was inspired and greatly influenced by the work of Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi.
