He began his first fashion label in the early 1950s.
He was the first fashion designer to dress the their model Twiggy in masculine-like clothing.
His two marriages resulted in a daughter named Eloise and sons named Thomas and Olivier.
In his early adulthood years, he apprenticed with the their designer Christian Dior.
