Signed by Warner Chappell Publishing when she was 19 years old, she is a Grammy nominated songwriter as well as singer and actress who became well known for her role in the film Hairspray as Little Inez.
Before breaking through in Hairspray, she was a guest in an episode each of Gilmore Girls and Everybody Hates Chris in 2006.
She is featured on the song "Anyway" from Chris Brown's Royalty album and has worked with other artists including Jason Derulo, Ariana Grande, Jennifer Lopez, Pentatonix and Fifth Harmony. She has written music with LeAnn Rimes, Christina Aguilera, Usher, and Rihanna, among others.
She was born Taylor Parks in Dallas, Texas, and later resided in Los Angeles.
She had a recurring role in Nickelodeon's True Jackson, VP, a show starring her good friend Keke Palmer.
